Detroit Billboard: 'America First Not Israel'
The United States sends $8 million a day in military aid to Israel, while the poor in the U.S. remain homeless and lack a solid educational system, so it makes sense that billboards across the country have been popping up condemning that type of spending by Congress.
The latest billboard criticizing the allocation of tax dollars popped up in Detroit and it reads, “America First Not Israel.”
A Congressional Research Service Report shows that Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II. The U.S. has provided Israel with $124.3 billion during that time period, according to the report from June.
