CONVENE
The Jar utilizes a Convener Model which invites you to actively build a diverse and vibrant community. As a Convener, you’ll purchase a Jar of tickets for $60 – that’s 6 tickets at $10 each. You’ll then invite:
- Your partner or other close friend
- 2 people you would normally experience culture with
- 2 people you wouldn’t normally experience culture with – people who may not look like you, pray like you, love like you, earn like you, etc. While these can be people you know – like an acquaintance, neighbor, or colleague – they are most importantly people you’d like to know better.
Together, the six of you gather to experience The Jar:
- 7:00PM Doors & Open Bar
- 7:30PM Comedy with Atheer Yacoub
- 8:30PM Social Mixer & Dessert

Atheer Yacoub is a Brooklyn-based comedian, writer, and podcaster. Her comedy explores themes of immigration, gender roles, and growing up in a Palestinian Muslim family in the heart of Alabama. Find her on Instagram.
