Hear the story of the “zehra be edive” first hend. Learn about Palestine heirloom seed;
protecting our agricultural heritage and fighting for a sustainable future in Palestine.
Thanks to the efforts of farmers using indigenous seeds, fruits and vegetables integral to
Palestinian culinary tradition like the zahra baladiya (homegrown organic cauliflower varieties) are being saved from extinction. You’ll see the traditional Palestinian favorite, Maqloba, a showcase dish for cauliflower. Learn about
food-related parables, stories and traditions passed down from our ancestors.
We will unveil an original painting commissioned by the Palestine
Hereom Seed Library and open the auction to those joining us on
social media! (sneak peak of the painting in this flyer).
You’ll love this original work by Ayed Arafeh, a Palestinian artist from the Dheisheh refugee camp. The
