You Are Invited to an Unforgettable Evening of Middle Eastern Music — “Music from Within”

Join us for a captivating live performance by the Alwani Middle Eastern Orchestra, where authentic tradition meets personal expression and creative innovation. Experience the soul of Middle Eastern melodies intertwined with a touch of Western influence, all rooted in the heartfelt concept of “Music from Within.”

This concert will showcase two exciting new pieces.

The first is “Zilal Fi Al- Noor,” a beautiful composition created for our orchestra. It combines the rich sounds of Middle Eastern music with a modern flair, thanks to the skilled composer Maile Pacumio. This piece captures the essence of music that comes from deep inside, connecting the past and present in a unique way.

The second special premiere is by Joseph Alvarez, a composer and pianist from Los Angeles. Joseph studied music composition at UC Santa Barbara and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at Cal State Long Beach. His piece, “Prelude and Dance,” consists of two parts. The Prelude features a conversation between a solo viola and the orchestra, while the Dance takes the theme from the Prelude and turns it into a lively, rhythmic piece.
