Food is more than nourishment, it is memory, identity, and resistance.

Join us for a 3-part workshop series led by Palestinian American chef and activist Jinan Deena, exploring the deep connection between Palestinian cuisine and cultural identity.

Through storytelling, history, and discussion, this series highlights how food becomes a powerful tool for preservation and resistance in the face of erasure.

Session 1:

Palestinian Agricultural History & Food Sovereignty

Explore the roots of Palestinian cuisine, the impact of occupation on agriculture, and the ongoing struggle to preserve food traditions.

Session 2:

Food Through Resilience

Highlighting chefs in Gaza and their efforts to sustain and protect culinary heritage under extreme conditions.

Session 3:

Ethical Consumption & Supporting Palestinian Businesses

Learn how everyday choices — from food to purchasing decisions — can support Palestinian communities globally.

Light (vegetarian) bites will be served after each session.

Jinan Deena
