One-day conference followed by a concert exploring sound and music in Muslim contexts. In person and virtual attendance.

The conference will examine four key aspects : Significance of sound in Muslim contexts, Oral Tradition and Memorization, Music Education in Muslim Communities and Understanding Islam through its Art. The conference concludes with an evening concert featuring three ensembles performing musical traditions from across the Muslim world.
