MBC Television Takes Action Against Illegal Pirating

posted on: Jun 29, 2015

To our loyal viewers in the U.S.,

It has come to our attention that there are certain Arabic language video services offering MBC television channels and content in the U.S. without our authorization. We at MBC want you to know that pirating of our content is illegal and we are taking action to remove our channels from these services.

We are writing to make you aware of the situation and clarify which companies are authorized to provide our channels and content in the U.S.

Who are these companies scamming you?

There are numerous companies and services in the U.S. selling a set top box or providing a website who claim to have rights to distribute MBC channels.   Don’t be misled – they are lying to you. They may claim to be able to offer you our channels for “free,” or at greatly reduced prices, but once you have paid your money you may find that the channels are removed or the service shuts down, or the box you bought becomes obsolete. Don’t let illegal services and dealers take advantage of you! Keep your eyes out and avoid offers that just seem too good to be true.

Who is legally authorized to provide MBC channels in the U.S.?

The only services that can legally broadcast our programming in the U.S. are:

www.dish.com/arabic (888) 434-0112

www .sling.com/arabic (855) 402-3978

DISH is a well known satellite service operating for over 20 years and Sling is an “app” available on Roku, xBox, ios iPhone and iPad, Android phones and tablets, Amazon Fire, Samsung BluRay, PC and Mac. The Sling app can be downloaded and active in a matter of minutes. Both of these services are authorized by MBC and offer our MBC channels and other leading channels from the Middle East.

We are here to protect you and the TV programming you enj oy. Together we can ensure you get the high quality programming and reliable service you deserve.

Sincerely,

Sam Barnett CEO
