Prominent Attorney Joumana Kayrouz Appointed by Lebanese Government

Attorney Joumana Kayrouz, President and owner of the Law Offices of Joumana Kayrouz, P.L.L.C., has been appointed President of the Board of Directors for the Miss Lebanon Emigrants USA – 2012 by the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism.

As President of the organization in the United States, Ms. Kayrouz will be the official representative of the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism in the United States and in everything related to Lebanese events. She is honored to bring her talents, resources and connections to her newly named position.

Ms. Kayrouz, said: “I am grateful for this appointment to the Board of Directors for the Miss Lebanon Emigrants USA – 2012, and greatly look forward to working with the other board members to ensure a successful event. It is especially gratifying to work with these young women as they seek positive ways in which to express themselves through both their beauty and their career aspirations. I am extremely excited to be involved with the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism and the ongoing efforts of growing the pageant”.

Miss Lebanon Emigrants – USA 2012 will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Greenfield Manor in Dearborn, Mich. In attendance will be the Lebanese Minister of Tourism as well as the Lebanese Ambassador to the United States and other high ranking officials.

The celebration of Miss Lebanon Emigrants dates originally to the 1950’s in Dhour Shweir, Lebanon with the hope of reconnecting and strengthening Lebanese emigrants to their roots by uniting them through the universal language of beauty and their shared ancestry.

Miss Lebanon Emigrants beauty pageants are being held worldwide in countries known for their large emigrant Lebanese populations. The winner will compete with other young women from 35 countries on August 11, 2012 at Castle Assouf in Dhour Shweir, Lebanon. The winner among American contestants will travel to Lebanon in order to compete for the world title.

The winner of “Miss Lebanon Emigrants USA” will be expected to connect with the American Lebanese community while acting as an ambassador between the United States and Lebanon, promoting goodwill and understanding. Miss Lebanon Emigrants USA also must have the ambition to make positive changes within the Lebanese community and participate in charity events all over the United States.

This event will be held by the committee ofMiss Lebanon Emigrants in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism, the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the city of Dhour Shweir, World Lebanese Cultural Union, the Lebanese Embassy to United States of America and MTV, Lebanon.
