Support. Not Fear. Access Health and Social Services for New York City Residents

posted on: May 28, 2021

New York City residents can access many health and social services including emergency Medicaid, food assistance, tenant protection, free legal help, and COVID-19 vaccination, testing, and care. Your immigration status, ability to pay and employment status do not matter. Learn more at NYC.gov/Immigrants.

The NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) and Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) want all New Yorkers to trust that they can seek the care they need, without fear of immigration consequences, to be empowered by knowledge about their right to get support and to know that their city has their back.

For connections to City-funded, free, and safe immigration legal help, call ActionNYC at 1-800-354-0365, Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

All of us need to be well for our city to be well and you have the right to seek care and support without fear.
