Editor’s note: On the night of May 24, Alisan Porter was chosen as the winner of The Voice. Laith Al-Saadi was the runner-up.

Arab American Laith Al-Saadi tapped the well of late-’60s classic rock — and served up a bluesy original of his own — while vying to make the final cut on “The Voice.”

The guitarist-singer was part of the NBC show’s semifinal lineup Monday night, contending alongside Hannah Huston, Alisan Porter and Adam Wakefield in voting that runs through noon Tuesday. Kicking off the night with a performance of Cream’s “White Room,” Al-Saadi went for the Beatles’ “Abbey Road” closing medley (with team leader Adam Levine on drums, guitar and duet vocals), then finished off with his own blues number, “Morning Light.”

Al-Saadi, a mainstay of the Detroit-Ann Arbor music scene, will learn if he’s made the final two on Tuesday’s program (9 p.m., WDIV-TV), where the Season 10 champion will be named by night’s end.
