1st Annual Dabke Competition to Be Held in 2015

The Moise Khayrallah Center for Lebanese Diaspora Studies and the Triangle Lebanese Association (TLA) are pleased to invite you to the 1st Annual National Dabke Competition. This event will feature dabke troupes from across the US and Canada for a day of dance, friendly competition and prizes.

The competition will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the NC Museum of History in Raleigh, North Carolina (USA), and it will encompass three age groups:

• Children Group ~ 5-12 years
• Youth Group ~ 13-18 years
• Adult Group ~ 18+ years

Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each group. There will be three judges for each competition and they will not be affiliated with either the Khayrallah Center or with the TLA.

Rules for performances and judging, as well as information about lodging and transportation will be provided in late March 2015. Registration for each group is $100, and the deadline for registering is March 15.
