4 times Arab celebrities copied Britney Spears

posted on: Aug 30, 2016

Britney Spears is a global superstar who rose to stardom back in 1999 when she released her single, “Baby One More Time.” It’s hard to imagine the pop world without her.

She’s influenced a generation of young girls and artists who tried to imitate her in hopes of becoming the next Britney Spears. Among those artists were Arabic singers who have not just been inspired by her but went on to copy her down to the T.

Here’s a list of Arabic singers who tried a little too hard to imitate Britney Spears:

1. Sabine – B’atli Email

Let’s start with the one who copied the overall blonde bombshell look with sexy dance moves. Here is one of the MANY Britney wannabes! Girl, at least when Britney made the song “Email My Heart,” it was so beautiful and innocent. This one uses DIAL UP! DIAL UP!

2. Nawal El Zoghbi – Sharekna El Helm

Britney Spears’ Pepsi Fifa World Cup 2002 video anyone?

3. Hiba Mounzer – Keef Baddak Habibi

Anyone who is familiar with Britney’s work can easily spot the similarities between Hiba’s video and “I’m A Slave 4 U” by Britney.

And to add insult to the injury, check out Hiba’s Remixed version of the same song. It’s not just the silhouette part that’s obvious, it’s the cage and underground theme, the facial expressions, the dress style and most of all … THE LITTLE HAND GESTURES! No wonder Hiba faded into obscurity!

4. Haifa Wehbe- MJK (Heartbeat remix)

This one has nothing to do with copying Britney’s dance moves. It has to do with the fact that Haifa wore the same exact dress! It starts around 3:12.  Check “Scream and Shout” by will.i.am featuring Britney to see what I mean …

Haifa and other celebrities out there, please remember one thing. There is only one Britney in this world and it ain’t you!
