ACC's Seventh Annual Golf Outing to Support Scholarships

On Wednesday, July 8th the Arab American & Chaldean Council (ACC) will host its Seventh Annual Golf Outing & Scholarship Awards Dinner, benefiting the ACC Scholarship Awards Program at West Bloomfield’s Shenandoah Country Club, located at 5600 Walnut Lake Road.

ACC is proud to announce Dr. Lou Anna K. Simon, President of Michigan State University, and General Barry R. McCaffrey, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Global Linguist Solutions, will serve as the event’s Honorary Chairs. “GLS commends the Arab American and Chaldean Council on its 30 years of service to the community in Metro Detroit. Your scholarship program, which aims to enhance the educational opportunities available to students, helps to strengthen the base of both the Arab and Chaldean American communities. We are proud to be a partner in this notable endeavor,” said General McCaffrey.

ACC would like to congratulate and recognize the following 2009 ACC Scholarship Award Recipients: Randa Abdullah, Amira Abi-Haidar, Amir Alawneh, Jessica Ayoub, Mohamad Chbib, Tevon Conrad, Zein El-Zein, Hala Hachem, Rina Sadik, Vanessa Shaya, and Jaleesa Wrench. ACC hopes to ensure the academic success of these deserving students.

The day of the event registration opens at 10 a.m. with golfers teeing off at 11:15 a.m. followed by cocktails, dinner and the scholarship awards presentation.
