Advanced Healthcare Innovations Put on Display at Arab Health 2018

Spanning over 4 days, Arab Health 2018 hosted a large number of exhibitors and delegates all congregated to display innovations, engage in discussions and exhibit simulations all aimed at achieving a world-class healthcare system in the United Arab Emirates.

Among the exhibitions were a wide range of healthcare innovations including the artificial intelligence enabled Somatom Edge Plus CT scanner by Siemens Healthineerswhich, according to Siemens, uses technologies that bring tin-filtered scanning, 4D, and quantitative imaging to provide diagnostic imaging at the appropriate dose and with reproducible accuracy.

Another highlight of the exhibition included the Hands-on Training stations which were designed to equip healthcare professionals with tools and skills that can be applied to their practices. The sessions focused on techniques that use advances like fusion imaging and augmented reality.
“The Hands-on Training Zone allowed our experts to teach best practices in medicine, using advanced augmented reality products that closely simulate a real medical environment,” said Sukhdeep Sachdev, Chief Executive Officer of Leader Healthcare. “Our sessions included a maternity simulator which prepares healthcare professionals for complications experienced during childbirth, as well as an ultrasound simulator that helps professionals practice an ultrasound examination through AR solutions.”
