Anthony Shadid: In His Own Words

A look back at the professional life of Anthony Shadid, the Pulitzer Prize-winning former Washington Post Baghdad bureau chief and New York Times correspondent. He died on assignment in Syria in February 2012. The Washington Post and The New York Times have jointly established the Anthony Shadid Memorial Trust. Trust funds will be distributed for the education or medical care of Anthony’s two children, Laila Shadid and Malik Shadid. Anyone wishing to contribute should mail a check payable to “Anthony Shadid Memorial Trust” to Anthony Shadid Memorial Trust, c/o The Washington Post, 1150 15th St., NW, Washington, DC 20071. Contributions are not tax-deductible.
