Arab America Foundation Launches 20 Under 20 in 2020

Washington DC (Wednesday, October 28, 2020): The Arab America Foundation announced today that nominations are open for their new initiative, 20 Under 20, in 2020 and applications are now being accepted until Friday, November 13, 2020. 

20 Under 20 in 2020 is a celebration of accomplished young Arab Americans. The program spotlights young students who achieved spectacular success in academics, work/internships, community service, extra-curricular activities (such as clubs, sports, music, arts, and writing). Also, achievements demonstrating, but not limited to, outstanding leadership, dedication to a career path, new initiatives, and commitment to Arab American heritage and culture.

“We are honored to recognize young Arab Americans who are the future leaders of our community,” said Warren David, co-founder of the Arab America Foundation and president of Arab America, “Part of our mission is to connect and empower Arab Americans and we take pride in launching this historic initiative for young Arab Americans under the age of 20 in 2020.”

The competition is open to all Arab Americans between the ages of 16 and 20 who live in the United States. Applicants should complete an online application about their background and achievements. The finalists will be determined by a panel of judges who will review applications anonymously.

The Arab America Foundation and its board members are grateful for the leadership of the initiative’s coordinators, Nabelah Ghareeb and Samar Sakakini, as well as the prestigious panel of judges.

The Arab America Foundation recently announced the awardees for 40 Under 40, a celebration of accomplished young Arab American professionals. The program spotlights professionals in all fields and business sectors, including education, law, public service/politics, non-profit, business leaders, entrepreneurs, engineers, medical professionals, artists, entertainers, writers, and media representatives.
