Debkeh Dance Class Debuts at the Arab American National Museum

posted on: Jan 27, 2010

It’s easy, fun, great exercise and you don’t need a partner! The AANM is offering debkeh dance classes for children and adults, beginning in late February. Debkeh is a traditional folk dance from the Levant region of the Arab World, a dance of community often performed at weddings and other joyous occasions.

Dancer/choreographer Suha Farhoud, formerly of the Ramallah-based El Funoun Popular Dance Troupe, will lead the classes.
