Hip-hop artist DJ Khaled has achieved his second No. 1 with his new album Grateful on the Billboard 200. Grateful is the tenth studio album by DJ Khaled and was released on June 23, 2017. The album features top figures in music, such as Rihanna, Drake, Chance the Rapper,  Beyonce, and Jay-Z.

Grateful is DJ Khaled’s second major success after his previous record, Major Key, that scored  the first place in July of 2016.

During 2017, DJ Khaled released four singles from Grateful, all of which featured superstars that have helped him hit the Hot 100. The campaign started with the release of “Shining”, which featured Beyonce and her husband Jay Z. The song, however, did not have much success, only resting at number 57.

In early May, DJ Khaled finally scored a No.1 on the Hot 100 with the song “I am the One”. The song features vocals from Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, and Migos member Quavo.

DJ Khaled was born on November 26, 1975 in New Orleans, Louisiana. DJ Khaled’s full name is Khaled Muhammad Khaled, born to Palestinian immigrant parents who  also played Arab music. When  Khaled was 5 years old, his parents moved to Orlando, Florida. At the age of 13, he started to learn how to spin records. Khaled had a big support of his family from the beginning of his career. Currently, DJ Khaled  is one of the most famous Arab musicians in the Western world.

DJ Khaled is engaged to Nicole Tuck who gave birth to their son, Asahd, on October 23, 2016. Nicole is also of Palestinian origin. Their one-year old son is featured on the cover of Grateful.

During the interview with Larry King, DJ Khaled said that he is a devout Muslim and that he prays more than ten times a day.

“ I represent the Palestinian life-that is who I am. I am Arab and I am Muslim. I represent God. I represent love, unity, and peace,” said DJ Khaled.
