Donate here https://www.rfs.edu.ps/en/page/ways-to-give

Guided by Quaker principles and values, enriched by being in Palestine, and strengthened by collaboration within the school community and with external partnerships, Ramallah Friends School (RFS) offers children and youth with an academically rigorous, balanced, engaging and inclusive learning environment of the highest quality standard, every day.

They inspire our students to become a living expression of a spiritual life, and be in constant search for God in all human situations. By doing so, we nurture confidence and intellectual curiosity through experiential learning and innovative application of knowledge and skills, enabling our students to become independent, adaptable but principled, socially responsible, and internationally-minded citizens.

About the bands:

American Nomad

American Nomad is an award-winning blues-Americana quartet from the Washington, DC area that grooves. Smart songwriting, strong musicianship, and a danceable live show have earned American Nomad the reputation of a “foot-stomping” musical act that can intrigue audiences with a wide variety of music tastes. Their music draws inspiration from the spirit of travel and authentic life experience. The band features Hassan El-Tayyab on lead vocals and guitar, Eric Lawry on drums, Johnny Seilkaly on bass, and Eugene Mironovich Iosilevich on keys.

Aaron Shneyer:

Aaron Shneyer’s roots, rock and soul driven music celebrates life and hopes to heal our divides. He lives in Washington, DC, and performs with a powerhouse band of DC’s finest jazz, gospel, world music, funk and reggae musicians. With influences like Caetano Veloso, Paul Simon, Miriam Makeba and Jimi Hendrix and finding himself in a similar sonic forest as Nick Mulvey and Jorge Drexler, Aaron weaves together elements of Rock n Roll, Folk, and the musics of South America and the Middle East.
