Dear Cairo…my dear Cairo is a photo exhibition of photos taken in Cairo by Egyptian/American artist and children’s book author Zeena M. Pliska. The exhibition is presented in conjunction with the release of her latest picture book, Egyptian Lullaby. It is the hope of the artist/author that both the photo exhibit of modern Cairo and Egyptian Lullaby will normalize Arab culture for those who are unfamiliar and will celebrate Arab culture with those who are familiar. The exhibit is located in the entrance lobby of the Venice Library. Save the Date: Zeena Pliska will have a book reading of Egyptian Lullaby at the Venice Library on June 10 at 11 a.m.
