It is with great honor that the Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects (AAAEA) Capital Area invites you to a distinguished in-person gathering featuring Dr. Nasser Rabbat, one of the world’s foremost scholars in the fields of Islamic architecture, urbanism, and cultural heritage.

Dr. Rabbat serves as the Aga Khan Professor and Director of the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where his influential work bridges architectural history, theory, and the study of cities across the Islamic world. His research and writings have profoundly shaped how architecture is understood as a vessel of identity, continuity, and collective memory.
