We are pleased to present a program about the late Lanny Bell in collaboration with the American Research Center in Egypt headquarters and its New York chapter. One of the world’s foremost Egyptologist who explored such renowned sites as Abydos and Luxor, Bell’s fascinating life and extraordinary legacy will be celebrated by speakers Sue D’Auria, Peter Lacovara, and Sue Lezon. Bell excavated at various locations throughout Egypt with the University of Pennsylvania and the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago amongst other renown institutions. He was uniquely chosen to brief President Jimmy Carter regarding Egyptian culture and history.
