Hosted by Ikhlas Mohammed and inspired by her mother, Magboula Yousif—affectionately known as Nanna—this event brings together traditional cuisine, personal storytelling, and immersive cultural experiences.

Discover Nanna’s story a Sudanese mother who sold food to support her children, inspiring Nanna’s Cuisine, where each dish honors her Mohammed credits her mother as the foundation of her understanding of resilience. A successful entrepreneur, devoted mother, and natural leader, her mother consistently led by example. Despite facing significant personal and professional challenges, she remained strong, compassionate, and unwavering in her commitment to her family’s well-being.Her mother’s mission was clear: to provide her children with the best education and quality of life, regardless of the obstacles. Through these exchanges, the event will highlight how food connects us to memory, heritage, and love—revealing the deep emotional bonds that meals can carry across generations and borders.
Dinner and Social Time
Enjoy the meal we’ve prepared together, complemented by traditional Sudanese coffee or tea and a sweet dessert. Guests will also receive take-home recipe cards and spice samples to continue exploring Sudanese flavors in their own kitchens.
