PHARR, Texas – A mini Egyptian museum being showcased at PSJA Memorial High School. Students in the Arabic Language Class presented topics on Egyptian culture. Those include the beginning of Egyptian civilization, inventions, culture, and stories. Students got the chance to try traditional Egyptian food while sharing about the Egyptian background.

The goal of this museum is to expose students to different cultures.

Nermeen Fathy, Arabic Exchange teacher, “This idea came because I wanted to spread out the culture of ancient Egypt. I wanted to draw the students’ attention not only in my class, but like self teaching for themselves and for other students.”

The museum was open to students of any background. They got to view the exhibit and how the culture of Egypt was shaped.
