IDB and DFID Established Arab Women’s Enterprise Fund

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish Arab Women’s Enterprise Fund (AWEF).

The Bank informs that both IDB and DFID will contribute £10 million in Pounds Sterling each (nearly US $20 million) towards the establishment of Arab Women’s Enterprise Fund.

Under the memorandum, AWEF will co-finance individual projects, support the development of knowledge, and introduce the best practices, promote the expansion of the private sector and mobilize the joint initiative.
