Lebanese Collegiate Network (LCN)-Committed to Serving University Lebanese Clubs, Students and Alumni

posted on: Dec 16, 2009

The Lebanese Collegiate Network (LCN) was established in July 2007 in response to an over-whelming need to foster positive relationships between existing University Lebanese Clubs (ULC), their student members and alumni.

The LCN board invites all ULCs to join and benefit from this organization by visiting the official LCN website at www.myLCN.org.

The foremost purpose of the LCN, per constitution, is to foster, connect and develop ULCs, students and alumni within the United States. The LCN is a non-religious, non-political, and nonprofitable organization. The strength of the LCN lies with active membership participation.

Alumni members attend LCN Professional Mixers and Fundraisers which are planned throughout the year in different states, including Michigan. Mark your calendar for Michigan’s LCN Professionals Mixer on February 4th 2010 and Michigan’s LCN Fundraiser on May 8th 2010.

For any Michigan related questions contact the Vice President of Public Relations located in Michigan, Rami Haddad at RHaddad@myLCN.org.

Students who are subscribing members (recognized by a ULC of the LCN) will qualify for several LCN opportunities. As described further on the LCN website, the LCN student fly-in program, the LCN academic excellence scholarship and the Outstanding ULC award are great programs. For Membership inquiries, please contact the Vice President of Membership Diana Ayoub at DAyoub@myLCN.org.

LCN is quickly growing in Michigan. In addition to having a board member in the state, LCN now has two of the most active subscribing ULCs: Oakland University and University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Maurice Farah and Ali Ajroush, Presidents of the ULCs, have showed commitment, passion and strong leadership skills. Rami Haddad attended several meetings and events of the LSA at the University of Michigan, Dearborn, and Oakland University, Rochester and seeking to connect with Wayne State Lebanese Students to establish their own
University Lebanese Club and become part of LCN.

The Lebanese Collegiate Network invites the Lebanese Community from Michigan to attend the 2010 LCN Annual Convention on March 26-28 2010 at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The 2010 LCN Convention aims to develop students professionally and academically. More information regarding this event can be found on the website. All convention related questions will be fielded by the Vice President of Events Thalia Jarjour at TJarjour@myLCN.org.

The LCN Board knows that without generous donations and support from the community nothing would be possible. Please help support the LCN financially by mailing in your donations or using our website. Your generosity will fund a $25,000 operating budget which directly benefits the students and alumni membership. The LCN is proud to be officially recognized by the U.S. government as a 501(c)3. All contributions to the LCN are tax-deductible. If you have any questions, please contact the LCN Treasurer Sevag Sislian at SSislian@myLCN.org.
