Ms Rachel: From Kids’ Educator to Advocate for Children in Palestine

Ms Rachel, also known as Rachel Accurso, is well-known worldwide for her upbeat instructional toddler videos on YouTube. Children learn language, songs, and social skills in a fun and safe environment thanks to her program Songs for Littles. However, Ms Rachel has recently gained recognition for something else: her fierce advocacy for war-affected Palestinian children.

She started speaking out about the humanitarian situation in Gaza in 2024 and 2025 utilizing her platform. Ms Rachel claimed that she couldn’t remain silent while kids were in pain since she was a mother and a teacher. “Every child deserves safety, care, and love — no matter where they are,” she said in a social media post. Her action is centred on the straightforward but profound conviction that all children are created equal and should be allowed to live in peace.

When she began fundraising for children in conflict areas, her efforts initially attracted notice. She provided families with customized video greetings via her Cameo page, with all sales going to Save the Children’s emergency fund for children in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Her global fan base swiftly endorsed this endeavour. For Ms Rachel, compassion was more important than politics. She said that witnessing children in pain and displacement broke her heart and that she wanted to use her voice to support them.

Speaking Out and Taking Action

Fundraising is just one aspect of Ms Rachel’s activism. She has spoken about the suffering of children in Gaza in an honest and passionate manner on her social media accounts, including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. On these pages she frequently provides accurate information regarding the state of affairs there, including the lack of clean water, food, and healthcare. She has stated in interviews that she wants to serve as a reminder that “children are not numbers.”

She was appointed a global ambassador for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) in 2025. PCRF is a nonprofit that offers children in Palestine and surrounding areas medical care and humanitarian help. She may actively support initiatives that provide children with life-saving care because of her profession. Rahaf, a three-year-old girl from Gaza who lost both of her legs in an attack, is one of the most heartwarming tales associated with her work. Ms Rachel supported Rahaf’s efforts to receive medical care in the US and helped raise awareness of her story.

Ms Rachel’s vocal position has also drawn criticism. Her excessive attention to Palestinian children and her involvement in a “political” problem have drawn criticism from some quarters. However, she has not wavered in her message. “If speaking up for children costs me my career, then so be it,” she stated in an interview. However, many admirers have commended her bravery, claiming that she is utilizing her power for something genuinely important.

Her postings frequently receive thousands of comments and millions of views. She is appreciated by educators and parents from many backgrounds for raising awareness of a topic that many public figures steer clear of. “Be so ashamed of your silence,” Ms Rachel said, criticizing world leaders for being silent. She is one of the few well-known children’s creators to take a strong online humanitarian stance because of her courage.

The Meaning of Her Activism

Through her advocacy, Ms Rachel stands for something greater than herself. It demonstrates how someone who is well-known for entertaining kids can simultaneously advocate for children’s rights across the globe. Her message serves as a reminder that caring for children transcends national boundaries and religious beliefs. Every child, whether in Gaza or New York, is entitled to food, education, and safety.

She has demonstrated through her writings, interviews, and collaborations that activism may take many different forms, such as disseminating information, giving money, or elevating the voices of underprivileged families. She employs her influence in a calm, compassionate, and empathy-focused manner that seems to fit with her teaching style.

Naturally, not everyone shares her viewpoint, and her choice to speak up has generated discussions on the internet. One thing is certain, though: in a way that few performers have, she has raised awareness to the suffering of Palestinian children on a global scale. Her bravery in speaking up has encouraged other artists to follow suit, demonstrating that compassion is more significant than comfort.

Ms Rachel once expressed her hope that every child, everywhere, would be “happy, healthy, and loved.” She is attempting to bring that ideal a bit closer to reality through her advocacy. She has demonstrated that teaching is more than just teaching ABCs and nursery rhymes. It’s also about advocating for children who are unable to speak for themselves, even if doing so costs her fame or following.
