Three art projects by renowned Palestinian artist Khalil Rabah will be displayed in an exhibition in Madrid from 18 February until 15 May.

The exhibition, hosted by Casa Árabe (Arabian House) in Madrid, is part of celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the International Contemporary Art Fair (ARCO) in Madrid.

The three projects are the best known art works by Rabah: “The Palestinian Museum of Natural History and Humankind”, “United States of Palestine Airlines”, and “Art Exhibition: Ready Made Representation.”

Born in Jerusalem in 1961, Khalil Rabah is considered as one of the most important Arab artists on the international scene. He lives and works between New York, Beirut and Ramallah.

Rabah combines contemporary media, including installation, video and performance, with traditional materials emblematic of his Palestinian roots, such as olive oil, soil and lentils.

Rabah’s works have been displayed in many international galleries and cultural institutes.

According to the press release, Rabah explains that his work “involves different methodologies of deconstructing and intervening conceptually and physically with objects, the body, spaces and ideas to formulate new identities.”
