The World is Coming... Are you? Volunteer for the Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles 2015 as an Arabic Delegation Liaison

posted on: Apr 28, 2015

am reaching out to you from Special Olympics World Games in hopes that you will pass the following message along to your members that might be interested in this opportunity!

“With 7,000 athletes and 3,000 coaches representing 177 countries, along with 30,000 volunteers and an anticipated 500,000 spectators, the 2015 Special Olympics World Games – being staged in Los Angeles the summer of 2015 – will be the single biggest event in Los Angeles since the 1984 Olympic Games. That being said, we are in need of volunteer Delegation Liaisons that speak fluent Arabic and that are available between July 20 and August 4, 2015.

A Delegation Liaison (DL) is a critical position that requires you to be at least 20 years of age and have strong language skills (English plus Arabic). A DL will need to be available around the clock from July 20 – August 4, 2015. What’s in it for you? You will be making a significant impact in the lives of the Special Olympics athletes coming to the Games. You also will be participating in the organization of a once-in-a-lifetime event, which makes for a GREAT resume item.

To apply to become a volunteer for Delegation Services for the Special Olympics World Games, please reply to chloe.cavelier@LA2015.org using the subject line ‘Arabic Delegation Liaison’. #ReachUpLA”
