Contributing writer, John Mason, presents our sixty-second Arab American Pathbreaker, Dr. Debbie Almontaser, an American schoolteacher and community activist of Yemeni descent. She was the founding and former principal of the Khalil Gibran International Academy in Brooklyn, New York. Debbie has fought relentlessly to defend Arab American and Muslim rights and identity in the aftermath of 9/11.
