However, Arabs and Arab Americans love listening to romantic songs of the day and love to send them to their loved ones as a Valentine’s Day gift.

Here are the most popular recent Arab songs that have received millions of views from late 2017 and the beginning of 2018. These love songs went viral in a very short time and they are trending in the Arab music world now.

Abu Ft. Youssra-3 Daqat (148,840,179 views)                

The 3 Daqat song is the most popular song in the Arab world and the views of it increase every day. This song was written and shot very quickly in the Gouna film festival in Egypt. Surprisingly, the video clip shows many famous Egyptian actors and actresses who acted in this video clip for free or just for fun while they were participating in the Gouna festival. The song was released one month after and was and still the number one song in Egypt and the entire Arab World. Further, 3 Daqat means three heartbeats and it is a romantic song about love that was sung by the Egyptian singer Abu and the very famous Egyptian actress Yousra. The actors and actresses declared that they did not plan to record and film this song and they didn’t expect it to be that popular.

Nancy Ajram-Am Betalaa Feek (48,335,356 views)


This song was released without a video clip and it was from an album. However, Nancy Ajram released the lyrics in a Youtube video with her Hassa Beek album in 2017. Nancy Ajram is one of the most famous Arab Lebanese singers in the Middle East. The song means: “I am getting attached to you” and it has a very classic romantic tone. Nancy is loved by adults and kids and she is known for her cuteness and love for children. This song became popular again in 2018 because it was sung in the new year party by two famous Lebanese singers on television and was received heavily by viewers.

Ahmed Al Maslawi-Akheran Galaha (39,792,181 views)

This song was released in 2016 and was not viral at that time. However, it got many covers by many Youtube singers in late 2017 that revived its popularity again when Noel Kharman sang it on her cover. Also, a celebrity sang it in the Lebanese show Celebrity Duets and danced with a professional dancer which revived the song again before Valentine’s Day. The song means: that he/she finally said it and “it” refers to the love word.

Amr Diab- Ya Agmal Eyoun (21,281,377 views)


This song is one of the most controversial songs in 2017 because the song is about the Pisces zodiac. A rumor came out that Amr Diab was married secretly to an Egyptian actress who is Pisces and he sang this song for her. The song was so popular that it was all over social media,  Amr Diab is one of the most popular singers in the Arab world and he is number one in Egypt. Not to mention, Amr Diab is the highest paid singer in Egypt and his concert tickets can cost up to $500 per ticket.

Ziad Bourji-Shou Helou (20,089,118 views)                            

This song was recorded for a Lebanese movie entitled, Bel Ghalat; it means, by mistake. The song reminisces about how beautiful the singer’s love is; actually, the song is a very light romantic one. It was not released for a long time, but it became one of the most popular songs in the Arab World; its viewers are increasing by thousands each day. This song increased Ziad Bourji’s popularity and his name become one of the most famous names in Lebanon and many Arab countries.
