Thousands Attend Arab American Festival in Youngstown
Part of West Federal Street in downtown Youngstown was blocked off Saturday for the Arab American Festival.
This was the second year for the event.
Visitors enjoyed a taste of some of the best Arab food in the Valley, viewed handmade art, novelties and souvenirs. There was also clowns and games for children to enjoy.
Organizers said the festival included fun for the entire family.
“We feel that we’re part of this larger community, Youngstown. And we want to show our culture. We want to show our food. We want to show our dances. We want to show our skills and all the stuff that we have,” said Al Adi.
Organizers expected to see around 10,000 people for the one-day festival.
