George Clooney Says He And Wife Amal Alamuddin Want Kids

George Clooney wants to have kids with wife Amal Alamuddin.

The 54-year-old actor, who married the 37-year-old civil rights lawyer in September, made the somewhat shocking reveal in an interview with the German newspaper Bild (via Reuters).

Asked if he wants children, Clooney said, “Yes, but we’re taking our time.”

The “Tomorrowland” star claims to be very much enjoying married life. “I couldn’t be happier,” he said in a recent interview on “Good Morning America.” “We’re having a really fun time. We’re working on fixing up a house in England that we’ll be spending a lot of time in just outside of London.”

When not in London or Los Angeles George and Amal plan to travel the world.

“I’ll tell you, there are places I would like to be in the world with Amal that we want to go to that we haven’t gone,” George told news.com.au. “Our goal now is to be finding time to travel, not because of work, but because we’d like to see those places. But if I could be anywhere now, it would be she and I on a motorcycle in the middle of the French Alps near a town called Barcellonette which is a Mexican village and it’s unbelievable.”

George apparently does all the cooking in the Clooney household. “Well, I cook a little bit. My wife makes reservations,” he said. “I’m now a bit of a connoisseur of Lebanese food. I didn’t know much about it before but I find it to be fantastic. We eat a lot of Tabbouleh. And listen, I was a single guy for a long time, I’m a decent chef, I know how to cook. I make a nice pasta because I spend time in Italy. I can also make good breakfast food, and I’m great at Thanksgiving dinner.”

George continues to insist that Amal, who dons extravagant outfits when accompanying her famous husband to his movie premieres, “doesn’t think of herself as a celebrity.”

“She’s found a wonderful way of balancing the idea of what she does for a living,” George told news.com.edu. “She’s very well groomed to handle a lot of pressure.”
