Arab Americans, Muslim Americans, and a Diverse Coalition Endorse Irene Shin for Congress in Virginia’s 11th District

A broad coalition of Arab Americans, Muslim Americans, and diverse community leaders has officially endorsed Irene Shin for the Democratic nomination in Virginia’s 11th Congressional District, a district primarily encompassing Fairfax County.

After meeting with the leading candidates in the race, coalition leaders unanimously agreed that Irene Shin best represents the values and priorities of their communities. She is the only candidate who has publicly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and an end to U.S. military aid supporting Israel’s assault on Gaza. This stance sets her apart from all the other candidates.

The coalition is urging all voters of conscience in Fairfax County and the surrounding areas to support Irene Shin in the upcoming Democratic primary on Saturday, June 28th, a special election with limited voting locations.
