As the crisis in Gaza deepens and the humanitarian needs grow, many have turned to creative and sustainable ways to offer support—moving beyond one-time donations. Writers, poets, and publishers are responding by creating books that document and reflect on the situation through essays, poetry, and art. In a powerful show of solidarity, some initiatives are directing proceeds and royalties from these works to humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza or to support Palestinian writers and poets involved in the projects. Below is a list of books whose proceeds go toward supporting Palestine:

To Lay Sun into a Forest – Poems About Grief

This anthology, published by Sidhe Press, directs all proceeds (from both print and eBooks) to The Sameer Project, as stated on the anthology’s landing page. Poets from Palestine and around the world share their grief with readers. The book is available in print or as an eBook.

Bring Me Gold – Fifty Poems for Palestine

Published by Dahlia Books, this poetry collection was created in response to the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. It features award-winning poems, and, as stated on the publisher’s website: “All proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians.” You can order it online.

The Nightmare Sequence

A collaboration between poet Omar Sakr and artist Safdar Ahmed, this book documents the genocide in Palestine through poetry and visual art. All royalties are donated to various Palestinian relief projects, including The Sameer Project and Palestine Australia Relief and Action, as shared by the author on X (formerly Twitter). You can get the book here.

Keep Telling of Gaza

This anthology, edited by Alison Phipps and Palestinian poet Khawla Badwan, features poems about Gaza. According to its website, “All proceeds from this book are going towards supporting educational initiatives in Gaza.” Available in print or as an eBook.

The Gaza Poets Society gathers poetry written by Gazan poets in published anthologies, which are available as eBooks due to the ongoing siege. All proceeds go directly to the Palestinian poets in Gaza who contributed to the collections. You can find their bookstore online.

Unsilenced: Poems for Palestine

This global poetry collection expresses moral outrage at the international double standards regarding human rights and the atrocities in Palestine. Nature is used as a recurring motif to explore themes such as childhood, exile, war, homeland, and genocide. According to Daraja Press, “Income from the sale of this title will be donated for Palestine.” You can purchase Unsilenced on their website.

We Are Not Numbers: The Voices of Gaza’s Youth

This essay collection spans a decade (2014–2024) and includes the voices of young Palestinians from Gaza, the West Bank, and the diaspora. Through poems and essays, they share their lived experiences under occupation, in exile, and through war. All royalties go directly to the young Palestinian writers featured in the book. Workshops4Gaza runs a bookstore where all proceeds support humanitarian aid in Gaza. Their website states: “All proceeds from books bought here go to North and Central Gaza: Food, Water, Diapers + Milk, Medical Aid.” You can check out their bookstore here. They also offer a new initiative allowing students to order course books while supporting Gaza. As they write: “Corporations like Amazon and universities are complicit in and profiting from war crimes and genocide in Gaza. When you purchase books from us, all proceeds go to The Sameer Project.” You can order your course books through their site.

Written from a tent during the genocide by Palestinian chef Mona Zahed, this cookbook was published by Coffees for Gaza and Slingshot Books. According to the book’s website: “100% of the proceeds from the sale of this book will go directly to the author and her community.” The first print run has sold out, but a waitlist is available.

These books serve as a powerful reminder that each of us—whether professionals or students—can contribute meaningfully in support of Gaza. Whether through boycotts, participating in campus advocacy, fundraising, or using social media to raise awareness, we are a diverse and resourceful community. By dedicating some of our energy and creativity, we can stand in solidarity with those affected and speak out against injustice.
