This year, DCPFAF celebrates 15 years. This team of volunteers is proud to carry on the festival’s legacy and present a powerful program that highlight resilience, creativity and steadfastness across generations.

In these feature length movies, documentaries and short films, you will witness the heartbreak and hope of Palestinian families from across the diaspora, from before 1936 to present day, where the next generation refuses to let the memories of our ancestors die.

As we look back, look forward and embrace the moment the 2026 festival finds itself in, we share these words from our founder, Noura Erakat: “When we founded DCPFAF 15 years ago, the vision was to create an initiative that represented something, as opposed to just being opposed to what we didn’t want. There was a need for positive stories, and remembering that Palestinians precede, exceed and will continue to live beyond Zionist settler colonization.” We look forward to bringing the community together to honor Palestinian voices and artistry during these critical and essential times.
