Chivers is a writer at large for The New York Times Magazine and a longtime foreign correspondent. A two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, he has reported on conflicts across the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, the former Soviet Union, and Ukraine. Neil Swidey is professor of the practice and director of the Journalism Program at Brandeis University. An award-winning narrative journalist and bestselling author, he is also editor at large of The Boston Globe Magazine.
