Assalamu Alaykum everyone! We are so excited to announce this year’s Annual SIS Ramadan Iftar! This event is only open to college students and older and will be taking place on Saturday March 16th from 6pm to 9pm at the Linda K. Paresky Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Simmons University Main College Building. Doors will open at 5pm but the program will begin promptly at 6pm so that we may break our fasts on time insha’Allah!
We invite you during this blessed month for a Turkish inspired evening with an amazing photobooth area. Join us for a night of friends and faith where our guest speaker Ustadha Zaynab Ansari will speak about the Islamic importance of keeping good company. The evening will be followed by a night of breaking fast with amazing food from Man o Salwa, Peshawri Kebab, Ashur, and Garlic and Lemons, as well as amazing desserts and a chai cart:)
Like last year, after iftar we will be heading over to ISBCC for Isha and Taraweeh prayer, followed by an Inter-MSA Qiyam night and an IHOP suhoor outing. Please make sure to RSVP by adding the Qiyaam ticket and IHOP ticket to your cart if you intend to come! Your total should be $10 if you are coming to the iftar, we will be checking tickets. Note that if you do not come to the iftar you are still welcome to Qiyam and IHOP.
The dress code is formal attire: deep reds, burnt oranges, browns, olive green
