Our event features Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans and Imam Johari, who show what deep-rooted civic engagement looks like. We are also delighted to showcase accomplished young leaders and rising stars Rana Abdelhamid, Zaynab Mohamed, Osman Salahuddin, and Munira Abdullahi.

Twenty years ago, we set out to mobilize Muslim Americans so that our community would have a seat at the table. Today, the results speak for themselves.

• In New York, we worked with Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim January 2026 the first-ever Muslim American Heritage Month in New York State and moderated a briefing at City Hall on Islamophobia.

• In Michigan, we supported policies to require colleges and universities to provide alternative exam dates or academic accommodations when coursework conflicted with a student’s sincerely held religious beliefs.

• In Florida, we succeeded in releasing teenager Mohammed Ibrahim, who was arbitrarily imprisoned by the Israeli military for over 9 months.
