“Join the National Council for a special evening in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Council’s establishment as a Washington-based, non-profit, educational NGO.

As the Council commemorates four decades of promoting educational and cultural understanding, it will honor and recognize outstanding leaders who have made significant contributions to building bridges between the United States and the Arab region. There will also be keynote remarks by HRH Prince Turki Al Faisal Al Saud during the program as well as music, entertainment, and a unique silent auction in support of the Council’s educational mission.

Founded in 1983, the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations is an American non-profit, non-governmental, educational organization dedicated to improving American awareness, knowledge, and understanding of the Arab countries, the Mideast, and the Islamic world.

Its means for doing so encompass but are not limited to programs for leadership developmentpeople-to-people exchangeslecturespublicationsan annual Arab-U.S. policymakers conference, and the participation of American students and faculty in Arab world study experiences. As a public service, the National Council also serves as an information clearinghouse and participant in national, state, and local grassroots outreach to media, think tanks, and select community, civic, educational, business, and professional associations. In these ways the Council helps strengthen and expand the overall Arab-U.S. relationship.”
