Join PYM DMV at Dar Al Hurriyeh (Palestine House of Freedom; 650 Pennsylvania Ave. SE Washington DC) for an uplifting community art day and fundraiser with cultural performances, an open mic, family activities, and vendors centering on the theme of liberation imagined! All proceeds will support the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA) and the upcoming Peoples Conference for Palestine.

Our people in Gaza are on the frontlines of resisting Zionism, and the Zionist project aims to punish them with starvation and rendering Gaza unlivable. Meanwhile in America, those who speak out are punished and silenced. We must therefore come together as a community to support our people and uplift our culture and resistance in defiance of our dehumanization, criminalization, and our people’s struggle.

This event benefiting MECA and the Peoples Conference for Palestine is a call on us to assume our responsibility to tangibly support our people’s steadfastness and to recommit ourselves to the movement for Palestinian liberation here in the heart of U.S. empire. Fundraising and expressing our culture are political acts that ensure our people’s needs are met so that they are able to remain on the land, steadfast and resilient in the face of genocide and displacement.

Free entry for kids under 3! Tickets are on a donation-based sliding scale, with a recommended donation of $10 to $20 dollars. No one will be turned away for lack of funds! Please note that the Eventbrite system will only allow you to reserve one ticket at a time.
