Arab America Foundation Launches 2026 Online Silent Auction Featuring Arab Art, Cultural Treasures, and Exclusive Collectibles

Featuring Artwork by Helen Zughaib, an Autographed Mohammed Assaf Keffiyeh, and Unique Arab Cultural Treasures
WASHINGTON, D.C., October 28, 2026 — The Arab America Foundation (AAF) is pleased to announce the launch of its 2026 Online Silent Auction, featuring an exceptional collection of original artwork, traditional clothing, handcrafted jewelry, cultural treasures, autographed memorabilia, and unique experiences celebrating the richness and diversity of Arab heritage.
The auction is now live, with bidding open through Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10:00 PM Eastern Time, coinciding with the conclusion of the CONNECT Arab America: Empowerment Summit at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles in Chantilly, Virginia.
Among the auction’s highlights is an artwork by acclaimed Lebanese American artist Helen Zughaib, whose vibrant work explores identity, migration, displacement, and our shared humanity. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally and is represented in prestigious collections, including the White House and Library of Congress.
Another distinctive offering is a Palestinian keffiyeh personally autographed by Mohammed Assaf, the internationally celebrated Palestinian singer and Arab Idol champion. The collection also features signed books by legendary Arab American journalist Helen Thomas and renowned consumer advocate Ralph Nader, along with intricately embroidered Palestinian thobes and tatreez textiles, handcrafted jewelry, cultural antiques, artisanal home décor, and other unique collectibles reflecting the creativity and traditions of the Arab world.
Each item tells a story, offering bidders an opportunity to acquire something meaningful while celebrating Arab artistry, preserving cultural traditions, and supporting a worthy cause.
More than a celebration of heritage, the silent auction represents an investment in the future of the Arab American community. Proceeds will support the Arab America Foundation’s mission to promote Arab heritage, educate Americans about Arab identity, and connect and empower Arab Americans through educational, cultural, and community-building initiatives.
“Every item in this auction tells a story about our heritage, creativity, and contributions,” said Warren David, President of Arab America and Co-Founder of the Arab America Foundation. “By participating, you’re not simply acquiring something special. You’re helping preserve our cultural identity, empower future generations, and strengthen connections among Arab Americans nationwide.”
At a time when preserving cultural identity and fostering community solidarity are more important than ever, the auction invites Arab Americans and friends of the community to come together in support of a shared vision: a stronger, more connected, and empowered Arab American future.
The online silent auction is open to everyone, regardless of whether they are attending the CONNECT Summit. Supporters across the United States are encouraged to explore the collection, place their bids, and share the auction with family, friends, and colleagues.
