Arab Detroit.com Seeks to Dispel Arab Stereotypes with Accurate Information

This week marks the second anniversary of Arab Detroit.com, one of the leading interactive websites in the Arab American community.

Arab Detroit looks beyond the headlines and stereotypical images of Arabs and Arab Americans which we see everyday in the media, it disseminates accurate information about the Arab American community vis-a-vis events, news, music and educational materials.

It is one of the principle sources of information for Arab Americans and Arabs throughout the world and is a resource site for non-Arabs who seek information about the Arab world and the Arab American community. The name “Arab Detroit,” is representative of the greater Detroit Arab American community, which is the home to the largest concentration of Arab Americans in the U.S.

Arab Detroit was founded by Warren David, a third-generation Arab American who is the president and CEO of David Communications, a multi-cultural public relations and marketing firm specializing in the Arab American market. “In just two years, Arab Detroit.com has become the leading website promoting digital media in the Arab American community,” says David, he went on the say, “There is so much more potential and we are planning to expand our efforts over the next year.”

Arab Detroit (www.arabdetroit.com) is a national website dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of accurate information about Arab Americans and the Arab world and is the source for events, news, organizations, music and information about the Arab American community. The website is viewed in over 150 countries and hosts several daily features including; Arabic 101 Word of the Day — a daily interactive Arabic language module, Arab Detroit Radio — digital Arab music 24/7, Souk Detroit — offering free postings for jobs, services and real estate, Arab Talk — an Arab American discussion forum and MarketPlace — the Arab and American business directory.
