A Culinary Herbalism Class featuring the herbs and foods of Palestine. Facilitated by Hanan Masri at Gill Tract Farm.
Join us for our fourth culinary herbalism class, an honoring of wild thyme or zataar, Arabic for both the name of the plant and the herbal mix, a potent respiratory and digestive support
We will make manaeesh, a flat bread spread with baked zaatar, fatoosh, an herbal salad with orchestral nods to parsley and mint, and hummus, the Arabic word for chickpea. We will learn the potent work of these herbs and each participant can go home with a zataar mix to enjoy.
Consider this a mezze, a coming together of community. We are the seeds, roots, the cotyledon
