Wanees Zarour will be performing his new album “Silwan” on buzuq and oud with a full band.

Wanees Zarour is an award winning Palestinian-American composer, buzuq and oud player, and bandleader known for his innovative synthesis of Arabic maqam, jazz, and contemporary composition. Based in Chicago, Zarour’s work bridges the musical vernaculars of the Middle East, jazz, and global traditions, creating an expressive sound that is both rooted and exploratory. The album “Silwan”, released Feb 13, 2026, is available now. This performance will include music and education.
