Aurora, Colorado. Learn the art of Palestinian Tatreez cross-stitching! This beginner-level workshop invites you to explore the captivating history of Tatreez.
ABOUT THE CLASS:
This three-hour workshop begins with a 30-minute teaching portion where brief Palestinian history is covered, followed by a demo on the mechanics of cross-stitching. The rest of the workshop is hands-on! Students will take home their finished piece as a memento of the experience and the richness of Palestinian culture. This event is geared towards high school students and up.
Includes a Tatreez Kit (stitching patterns, needle, thread, Aida cloth fabric). No need to bring anything additional to class! Have questions, email neda.deen@gmail.com.

Badan is a creative design house and educational space that equips Palestinians of the diaspora with the access, tools, and knowledge necessary to practice the tradition of tatreez. With every stitch, we mobilize a collective movement, for ourselves and future generations.
